About Me

I have been writing my blog about my great passion, music, a theme which underscores Hermes, for almost two decades. 

The publication of Hermes, my first novel, signals the beginning of my journey as an author, with a follow-up story, Angelia, already written.

My other great passion is hiking. So, when I am not writing at my home in the Middle East, I can be found at different points in the year in the Alps of Switzerland, the mountains of New Zealand and the South Island of Japan, reminding myself of how precious and unique our homeworld is.

About the Duology

I began writing the first book in the duology in the spring of 2022. With the publication of Hermes by Foreshore Publishing in February 2025, the first part is now available.

By 2150 Earth is a toxic wasteland. The last exhausted, lonely human has died. Far above the Earth, on an abandoned space station, an artificial intelligence originally designed to take humanity to the stars, sends a desperate plea for help to a world they had been unable to reach. 

Forty light years away, ‘they’ respond and travel back to humanity’s beginnings to help lead them away from their dark ending. Over thousands of years, determined to offer the gifts that could save humanity, they become increasingly involved in Earth’s evolving history, until they recognise a terrible truth: their own survival is at stake

True - Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks

There are really just two questions for me, Is the organiser back.  Has he opened the door and entered the House of Castellano or merely thrown some fairy dust over it.  The Organiser In 1980, when the tectonic plates of Yes shifted, shaking the very foundations that had driven them to such incredible heights, the roots of the earthquake lay with Jon. He had decided he was no longer "the organiser" but a song writer, who wanted to make more spontaneous music.  In 2023 he returned to an idea he had pursued on two previous occasions; to re-establish himself at the fore front of Yes's most demanding music, the music that has become known as the main sequence. So, he dialled B for Band Geeks.  They and Jon delighted everyone on their tour last spring, receiving standing ovations wherever they went. Anderson/Stolt - Invention Of Knowledge

The second part of the Anderson Trilogy has now been released. It is an inter-net collaboration between Jon Anderson and Roine Stolt the guitarist with the Flower Kings and Transatlantic. Jon sent Roine a number of his music files of demo’s recorded with various collaborators and Roine, with the help of band mates and musical accomplices, fleshed out those demos and the results were traded back and forth until they were happy a final result had been achieved.     Part 1 A Prog - Rock Musical Soundtrack Olias comes to Hollywood.   The first suite of three movements begins evoking the spirit of the re introduced beginning of Tales From Topographic Oceans, before a neat flurry from Tom Brislin (Keyboards).
